Ruka has a really awkward hodgepodge of supernatural powers, all of which she is doing her very best to keep a total secret. She's totally normal, you guys!! However, this doesn't prevent her from using them, either actively or passively.
For the sake of clarity, as taken from her application, this is the short-form list of her powers:
Some of these (obviously) don't require permission at all, some only require it in the moment, and some are kinda omnipresent! So.
In addition to all that nonsense, Ruka is a CR AU version of her canon self; this means that between her departure from the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's canon and her arrival in Exsilium, Ruka lived for four almost-uninterrupted years in the LJ/DW RP![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
capeandcowl. The most obvious changes are in her physical appearance: she is 15 16 years old in Exsilium, her left eye has been removed and is covered with an eye patch, and her signature green hair is dyed brown.
Due to her long tenure in a roleplay structured somewhat similarly to Exsilium, Ruka is a bit more genre-savvy than the average character. She has a tendency to over-prepare constantly, is extremely difficult to faze in terms of cataclysmic events, and in general doesn't give a shit about PCs dying in-game or other jamjar staples. Additionally, she has interacted with a wide, wide variety of characters over the years. The full list of characters she's spoken to can be found here, which is uh. Quite Long. She likewise has a passing familiarity with too many characters for me to list.
However, due to her emotional development/degradation, she doesn't want people to realize that she is a CR AU—or, for that matter, that she is from "one of those card game universes." As such, she has and will continue to lie about most of the large swatches of her past, including the fact she's been in another RP, her age, her name, where she grew up, her family situation, and so on. She also masks the fact that so many characters are familiar to her, and so avoids things like fourth-wall punctures, presumed familiarity, and the like.
Since all this is kind of a clusterfuck, and I know many players would not be comfortable with even downplayed familiarity of a character being brought over from another game, this post is also serving as an opt-out entry.
If, for these or any other reasons, you do not ever wish to be tagged by Ruka, please let me know here!
